Ahhh Graduation! Better yet… Shepherd University Graduation!
I can remember it like it was yesterday… the sea of blue gowns, everyone dolled up (even the ones who only rocked yoga pants and sweatshirts to class!), the flurry of parents excitedly snapping photos, the selfies with friends, the fact that you may not wear a hat any other day of your life, but now… you have a triangle on your head that took 10 minutes to get just right.
Those of you who have been through a college graduation may remember those feelings… and these six lucky girls get to live it this Saturday!
They get to hear their family cheer them on as their name is called. Feel the nervousness of walking the stage; not because getting your diploma is nerve-racking, but because the thought of tripping on stage… that’s enough to make you forget your own name!
When Aubrey (one of my current JBinkley Brides) asked me if I would do this graduation session for them, I was excited! Senior Portraits are always fun but college portraits… with 6 friends who made it all the way through nursing school together? I knew it was going to be amazing!!
So I went back to my Alma Mater and met Aubrey, Alyssa, Katelyn, Vanessa Katelynn, & Logan. They were all so very sweet and photogenic!
It’s a bittersweet moment, graduating college… it’s a time in your life you feel the most grown up you’ve been and yet so young at the same time. You’ll be saying good bye to friends as you accept job offers or further your education all across the country. Friends from different states will be headed back home and you’ll promise to stay connected.
My advice to you wonderful ladies… enjoy life! Go out there and be someone who loves fiercely, forgives with an understanding heart, and makes time for family. You have so many amazing moments ahead of you and I am honored you chose me to capture the fruits of all the amazing moments you’ve had!
Enjoy your photos and have such a great time at graduation!!!
Family & Friends: Be sure to drop a line of congratulations to the graduates below!!
