Sunflowers, Dusty Blue, Ruby, and Purple is a color scheme I have not seen before… but it works! And it definitely fit Jonathan & Kayleigh’s perfectly unique day!
The wedding was held at The Barns at Maple Valley Farm in Shenandoah Jct, WV last Saturday. Jonathan & Kayleigh had a very personalized ceremony full of laughter and happy tears.
But of course, those who know these two wouldn’t expect anything less!
I was thinking back to their engagement session in Harpers Ferry, WV last year and how much fun I had walking the town with them. They were self-proclaimed “nerds” who had found their match and it showed. Just like their engagement session, their wedding day was filled with lots of laughter and jokes!
I’d have to say the two moments that stood out to me the most as being undoubtedly “J-Lough & Kayleigh” were
- When Jonathan was laying on the ground with her dress around him (shown below!) and after the photo Kayleigh pretended to step on his head with her sunflower shoes
- When we were taking photos with the horses, one horse kept trying to eat the bouquet and the other horse kept nuzzling in Jonathan’s hair and neck 😂
Just simple moments that caused them both to burst forth with laughter!

It looks like the perfect day!! Captured perfectly by an excellent photographer! I love the way the pictures weren’t the “same ole, same ole”. Very individual and she caught each special moment of the ceremony and reception! Everyone looks so relaxed and like they totally enjoyed every moment! Best wishes to the new couple!
